It is alleged that the lady in question uploaded the video on social media on Sunday, May 29, 2022. The Waala Traditional Area constituted a by-law in late 2021, banning such practices after it was observed that leaking sex tapes had become normal amongst the youth in the area. The directive controlled the leakage of sex tapes for some time but after that, the couple leaked, and many were upset after seeing another leaked tape. Assembly Member sentenced to 14 months imprisonment The Wa District Magistrate Court, presided over by His Worship, Maxwell Maxibrain Titriku, on April 16, 2022, sentenced Seidu Peter Kaadaare to 14 months imprisonment with hard labour for attempted rape and unlawful entry.  The Police said Peter Kaadaare, a 28-year-old Assembly Member of the Gbache Electoral Area, in the Wa West District, stated that he committed the offenses under the influence of an evil spirit.  Chief Inspector Gideon Ohene Boateng, the Upper West Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ghana Police Service, disclosed this to Info Radio in an interview in Wa.   He said the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the regional police command received a report from the complainant, a female basic school teacher aged 32 years, that the accused person, who resided at Kambali, a suburb of Wa, indecently assaulted her in March this year.  The Police PRO said the complainant sub...

Bawumia Gives Gh¢20,000 To Taxi Driver Who Returned Missing Gh¢8,400 Date: May 11, 2022 Manasseh Azure Awuni presenting 22,500 cedis to Kwesi Ackon. When taxi driver, Kwesi Ackon, returned GH¢8,400 a passenger left in his car, he did not know that his honesty was about to pay off. Vice-President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia donated GH¢20,000 to him after his act of honesty went viral. On Wednesday morning, a video surfaced on social media of the moment Mr. Ackon returned the money to the owner. The owner of the money and her family are seen in the video weeping and thanking the taxi driver for saving their lives. One of them is heard saying they could not sleep because of the missing money. The shops which are closer to the Butcher house in the Wa central market burnt down to ashes and the fire was said to have started at about 9 pm when everyone has gone home. An eyewitness, Alhaj Awu said,moke from the inferno drew the attention of some people who quickly called on the Ghana National Fire Service for swift action to control the fire. The GNFS who arrived at the scene took some hours to quench the fire. MENTALLY CHALLENGED PERSON HAS BUTCHERED HIS FATHER A 33-year-old resident of Suaboi, a suburb of Dadieso Suaman in the Western North Region, Tawiah Terkpey, is currently in the grips of the Dadieso Police Command for reportedly butchering his 60-year-old father, Jonathan Terkpey, to death. The suspect, according to reports, has been living with his father in the same community for the past two years after returning from Accra, where he worked as a mechanic. He is alleged to have carried out the deadly act over the weekend.
